Jason lives in Baton Rouge close to LSU and bikes to work when he can. He spends most of his time in TextMate, is lost without QuickSilver and is always trying new ways to bend web browsers to his will. Jason pulls triple duty as a full time Baton Rouge Firefighter, frontend developer at the award-winning media powerhouse Object 9, and is the best father and husband he can be. He enjoys coffee but can never finish a cup.
Jason is an interface specialist with a primary focus on development according to web-standards. Jason’s background is originally in graphic and print design, so he has a sound understanding of the design principles needed to design for the modern web. Although, he has experience in PHP, MySQL, Ruby on Rails, Javascript, and server administration, he particularly enjoys writing interface code and building useful interaction concepts on groundbreaking projects.
Jason has worked on such projects as New Orleans Public Schools, Louisiana Department of Corrections, I developed the Gatorworks Wordpress site from David Link’s design, and most recently the Red Stick Animation Festival site.
Jason is tired of people thinking that bikers don’t belong on the road; curious about all the lost and stolen treasure in the world; a very competitive racer when he has to be; a Toys’R'Us kid; pretty arrogant. Jason isn’t easy to wake up; going to wear that crazy spandex no matter how aerodynamic I become; going to let you do something stupid; going to put up with you littering; at home, he’s working.
