Jason
Jason lives in Baton Rouge close to LSU and bikes to work when he can. He spends most of his time in TextMate, is lost without QuickSilver and is always trying new ways to bend web browsers to his will. Jason pulls triple duty as a full time Baton Rouge Firefighter, freelance web developer, and father. He enjoys coffee but rarely finishes a cup.
I am an interface specialist with a primary focus on development according to web-standards. My background is originally in graphic and print design, so I have a sound understanding of basic design principles along with the current concepts needed to design for the modern web. Although I have experience in (warning: geek jargon) PHP, MySQL, Ruby on Rails, Merb, Javascript, jQuery, Mootools, ExpressionEngine, Wordpress, Classic ASP, ASP.net, HTML5, CSS3 and server administration, I particularly enjoy writing interface code and building useful interaction concepts on groundbreaking projects.
I’ve worked on such projects as New Orleans Public Schools & Louisiana Department of Corrections. I developed the Gatorworks Wordpress site/blog from David Link’s design, developed the Object 9 Blog from a co-worker and my own design using current CSS3 techniques, Red Stick Animation Festival, Raised Floor Living, and recently developed the modular functionality for EATEL.net.
